Past & Present Pool of Pain

(15 Minute Video)

Do you, or the persons who whom you communicate, often over-react and make a proverbial “mountain out of a mole-hill”?

Every person has a Pool of Pain of some degree and intensity – no one has had a perfect life.

When a person is a child, if no one teaches her or him to express emotions in a healthy manner, those emotions become suppressed and create a Pool of Pain.  As an adult, if this person experiences an event in which she or he feels emotions similar to painful ones from their past, the past and present emotions collide and thus cause the person to over react at an 8, 9, or 10 (on a scale of 1-10) instead of an appropriate 1, 2, or 3.

It is essential that each person addresses and begins to empty their own Pool of Pain if healthy relationships are to emerge.
