Our Basic Survival Needs and Their Impact Upon Our Relationships

Description

In this experiential session you will…

  • Learn the basic Survival needs of every human being which create the foundation upon which our lives are built: Safety, Security, Stability, Consistency, and a Sense of Control Over My Environment
  • Discover the major impact on the human psyche when these needs are not met, and/or are violated, and leave “holes” and “cracks” in our foundation
  • Realize how a person attempts to fill these “holes” and “cracks” with substances, activities and especially with relationships – but they will never, ever be enough
  • Understand that only you and God/Your Higher Power can fill these “holes” and “cracks” and become healthy parents to yourself
  • Acquire new therapeutic instruments that are easily understood and applied
  • Have an opportunity to apply and experience these tools personally

An Invitation to Intimacy

Description

In this experiential session you will…

  • Be challenged to discover if becoming healthy and having intimacy – emotionally, spiritually, intellectually and physically – is genuinely a priority and value in your life
  • Acknowledge if growth – personally and in your relationships – has true significance for you.
  • Visualize how you have allowed other people and activities to interfere with these values and goals.
  • Comprehend that intimacy with others is not possible unless you are able to be intimate with, and truly understand, yourself.
  • Receive an instrument, The Circles of Intimacy, which can be effectively used to establish healthy boundaries and as a visual guide and reminder of your new priorities.
